Detailed Course Overview and Syllabus:
This course provides a two-phase method for business process architecture design: the design of the Process Portfolio and Process Architecture Landscape diagram, and the selection of processes for improvement using suitable criteria for defining process priorities.
You’ll learn to use the Strategy Choice Cascade to define the elements of business strategy, identify strategic goals and objectives, and distinguish between core, support and management processes. The course covers how to identify process relationships and design both the Business Process Portfolio and the Process Architecture Landscape diagram.
The course also addresses how to decompose the process hierarchy, structure architecture levels, and balance standardization with flexibility. You’ll learn to use process reference models, identify process performance measures, prioritize the process portfolio, select processes for improvement, and communicate the process improvement roadmap.
Case study examples are given throughout the course. You will work with real process scenarios, learn from actual industry implementations and develop practical skills you can apply immediately in your organization. The course includes a practical exam which, when passed, earns you a Certificate of Competency.
