In this four-day course, you will learn state-of-the-art methods and techniques for the effective analysis, elicitation, documentation, negotiation and management of system requirements.
The approach covers all system types including business systems, cyber-physical systems and socio-technical systems. It also covers how to apply these methods to the clear and unambiguous specification of system requirements.
The course will ensure that your work in systems analysis is performed in a professional and efficient manner, whether your team uses agile development or traditional system development approaches.
The practical work included in the course covers natural language business systems requirements writing and system specification using models including Class Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Use Case Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams and State Diagrams.
You’ll master the complete requirements lifecycle, including effective elicitation, clear documentation, skillful negotiation, and systematic management of system requirements. The course addresses critical topics including requirements quality criteria, work product structures, elicitation from diverse sources, conflict resolution, validation techniques, and requirements traceability.
The course includes a trial exam which, when passed, earns you a Certificate of Competency that validates your expertise in professional requirements engineering and prepares you for IREB® CPRE certification.
