To remain competitive in today’s global economy, businesses need to continuously improve their business processes. Existing processes are often too costly, too wasteful, and frequently irrelevant to their intended purpose. This course provides you with the knowledge and skills to analyse, design, transform and optimize business processes to achieve breakthrough improvements in effectiveness, efficiency and adaptability.
Strategic alignment is fundamental to process improvement success. You’ll learn how to identify strategic choices, understand the seven elements of a strategic plan, and use the Business Process Integration Triangle to ensure your processes directly support organizational objectives. You’ll also learn to define process architecture, identify major business processes, and classify them effectively.
The course teaches you to select the right processes for redesign using proven criteria and techniques. You’ll learn to understand existing processes by identifying components, diagnosing process health, and measuring performance. Understanding process stakeholders and their requirements is essential, so you’ll learn to document stakeholder requirements and relate process attributes to customer needs.
You’ll master proven process redesign methodologies, including creating the process vision, using Process Redesign Heuristics, and applying practical redesign techniques. The course covers a structured 10-step approach to building to-be process models with practical examples.
The course includes a practical exam which, when passed, earns you a Certificate of Competency.
